This course provides an examination and analysis of the city; the history of the city; the process of urbanization, ecological patterning and urban social structure; and the “third world” urban culture and personality. It is designed for the student with some background in sociology to provide a more specific working knowledge of basic concepts and current problems along with their underlying roots and causes.Class Hours: 3Prerequisite: SOC 101 Introduction to Sociology.
