RAD 221 - Radiographic Pathology

This course introduces the student to pathological principles and classification of diseases. Application of contrast media is discussed. Terminology pertaining to diseases affecting the body systems and their radiographic significance are discussed. Radiographs are used to illustrate radiologic pathologies.

Prerequisites: 1st year Radiologic Technology Courses, BIOL 121 Anatomy and Physiology 1 (and Lab) & BIOL 123 Anatomy and Physiology 2 (and Lab), RAD 105 Radiographic Technique 2 (and Lab), RAD 107 Radiographic Positioning 2 (and Lab), RAD 143 Clinical Education 3, RAD 114 Radiologic Science Patient Care, and RAD 116 Radiation Protection.
