ECE 280 - The Exceptional Child

This course emphasizes policies and practices that teachers in Early Childhood Education need to know to effectively meet the needs of children with special needs. An important goal of this course is to align this work with the pedagogies of teaching and learning from a position of strength.

Prerequisites: ECE 170 - Early Childhood Development , ECE 171 - Foundations of Early Childhood , ECE 270 - Observation and Assessment , and ECE 271 - Early Childhood Field 1 .
