HIT 290 - Professional Practice Experience 2: Internship

The Professional Practice Experience (PPE) 2 is designed to provide students with applied work experience in the health information department of a healthcare facility. Students are expected to observe and perform coding and related functions. Health information management professionals serve as an extension for the college and supervise the PPE.

Prerequisites: HIT 260 - Health Information Technologies, HIT 270 - Healthcare Statistics & Research and HIT 280 - Health Leadership and Management
