CE-FILM 2054 - Laughing with the World: A Film Series on Global Comedy
Join Film Professor Will Costanzo for an interactive investigation into the nature of humor and global movie comedies. Watching film clips together from the great traditions of European and East Asian films, we will explore what makes people laugh around the world. Some forms of humor are culturally distinctive, some forms are universal, but they all reveal something important about others and ourselves. At a time when so many borders are being closed, we’ll see how the world’s comedies can break through walls and reconnect us.
