ECE 272 - Infant/Toddler Environments 3 Credits
Infant/Toddler Environments prepares students to work with children ages 6 weeks - 36 months in early childhood settings. Students are introduced to theory, standards, regulations, and relationship-based practices that guide care and learning. The role of families is emphasized. Students use observations of children to prepare materials that support development. Documentation of children’s interests and discoveries enable students to understand children’s thinking and prepare the learning environment.
Prerequisites: ECE 270 - Observation and Assessment Corequisite: ECE 273 Early Childhood Practicum 2
