MGT 103 - Entrepreneurship

3 Credits

This course will acquaint the student with the challenges and opportunities involved in starting and operating a new business enterprise.  Course topics include: characteristics of a successful entrepreneur, legal forms of ownership, legal protections including trademark, copyright and patents, human resources, financial analysis, equity and debt, financing, business planning, market selection, marketing, social entrepreneurship, franchising, innovation and successful business models.

Prerequisites: MGT 101 - Business Organization and Management  with a grade of “C” or better.
