VET 207 - Laboratory and Exotic Animal Medicine

3 Credits

This course is comprised of two sections, Laboratory Animal Medicine and Exotic Animal Medicine. Laboratory Animal Medicine covers topics relevant to biomedical research and research using animal models. Portions of this course will require necropsy/dissection. This section is conducted at NY Medical College. Exotic Animal Medicine covers topics specific to identification, husbandry and nursing considerations of domestic, exotic animal species. Laboratory portion held both on- and off-campus.

Prerequisites: VET 202 - Anesthetic and Surgical Procedures for Veterinary Technicians and VET 204 - Senior Lab 1
