FILM 109 - Film Study: American Cinema

Explores the way American cinema expresses and contributes to the formation of individual, cultural and national identity. Students will analyze the ways that films have reflected American ideals and complex social realities relating to race, class and gender over time. Focuses on diversity both in front of and behind the camera.

Prerequisites: ENG 101 - Writing and Research or ENG 101H - Writing and Research - Honors
