ECE 171 - Foundations of Early Childhood

This course examines the historical, philosophical, social, and cultural influences on early childhood education in the United States and their connections to contemporary practice. Students will develop a philosophy of education and set of values to guide their educational choices. Consideration is given to the role of the teacher, working in a diverse society, partnering with families, and current issues in Education.
