In addition, students may become certified as Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician–Paramedics (NREMT-P).

The curriculum provides a strong educational background in the area of anatomy and physiology and emergency pre-hospital care. These disciplines are combined with English, humanities, social science, and other liberal arts courses that help the graduate to work effectively in the field with a variety of people, including patients, physicians, and nursing personnel, as well as other allied professionals.
