Program Description
The Computer Programming certificate is designed to enable working professionals to upgrade their programming skills or make a career change. Recipients of this certificate will develop the critical thinking skills integral to computer programming, including problem analysis, solutions design and program testing in various up-to-date programming languages. The certificate is also appropriate for students who are studying (or who have earned degrees) in other academic disciplines such as Networking, Business, Computer Information Systems, Computer Graphics, Mathematics and Science. Courses involve programming in different languages such as C++, Java and C#.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, a student will:
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze and solve computer problems using software engineering development processes and object-oriented design principles.
- Demonstrate the ability to create computer software applications by following analysis and design requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to design the internal structures of a computer.
