The certificate includes courses and fieldwork where students learn to apply their knowledge and skills in real work environments. Employment opportunities are available in numerous health and human service settings including hospitals, community health centers, mental health centers and substance abuse centers.
Those who complete their certificate and decide to continue their studies may transfer their completed course credits into the Health Studies A.S. , Human Services A.S. , or Human Services A.A.S.
