An HVAC/R training certification program equips aspiring technicians with the essential skills to install, maintain, and troubleshoot heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems. The program offers classroom instruction with hands-on simulations, covering topics including electrical theory, system diagnostics, and energy efficiency standards.
SUNY Westchester is an authorized training provider for the National Construction Center for Education and Research (NCCER) HVAC/R Training. Our faculty is trained by NCCER and they are working professionals in the field. www.NCCER.org

Spring 2026 HVAC Level 1. IN-PERSON at SUNY Westchester Mount Vernon. M/W/Sat., Jan. 21-Mar. 23, M/W, 6:00-9:30 pm, Sat., 8:30 am-4:30 pm (30-min lunch), Room L31, $2,105. #37384 CE-TECH 2048MV HVAC Level 2. IN-PERSON at SUNY Westchester Mount Vernon. M/W/Sat., Apr. 6-June 24, M/W, 6:00-9:30 pm, Sat., 8:30 am-4:30 pm (30-min lunch), Room L31, $2,665. #37386 CE-TECH 2049MV HVAC Prerequisites SUNY Westchester is an authorized training provider for the National Construction Center for Education and Research (NCCER), and our faculty is trained by NCCER. - MODULE 2: HVAC Level 1 (SPRING 2026)
- MODULE 3: HVAC Level 2 + EPA 608 Certification (SPRING / SUMMER 2026)
A High School diploma or equivalent is required to register for Module 1. The course is delivered in English. Participants of the program must take and successfully complete Module 1 prior to being accepted into Modules 2 and 3. MODULE 1, OPTION 1: DAYTIME IN VALHALLA Foundations in Construction: NCCER Core with Essential Computer Skills, OSHA 30 and Your Role in the Green Environment, IN-PERSON at SUNY Westchester Valhalla. 22 T/Th, Sept. 11 - Dec, 2 (skip 11/27), Tues. & Thurs., 9:30 am - 4:30pm (1-hr lunch), Gateway Center, Room 219, $2,157 + registration fee. #72332 The HVAC Level 1 (MODULE 2) program will follow for those accepted into the course. This will be scheduled for SPRING 2026, evenings and Saturdays. -OR- MODULE 1, OPTION 2: EVENING & SATURDAYS IN MOUNT VERNON Must register for all three (if you have OSHA 30 card, you do not need to register for #2): - Foundations in Construction: NCCER Core with Essential Computer Skills, IN-PERSON at SUNY Westchester Mount Vernon.
