VET 204 - Dental Techniques for Veterinary Technologists

An introduction to the field of veterinary dentistry. Oral anatomy, terminology, instrumentation, periodontology and oral radiography will be discussed. The role of the veterinary dental hygienist will be emphasized. Through the use of lectures, demonstrations, and practical experience, students will develop skills in infection control basics, charting and documentation, and maintenance and care of instruments. Lab portion held both on campus and at veterinary facilities.
