VET 203 - Dental Techniques

An introduction to the field of veterinary dentistry. Oral anatomy, periodontology and oral radiography will be discussed. Students will develop skills assessing, charting and documenting information associated with oral health. Topics will include relevant terminology; oral products and home care, infection transmission and prevention; and oral pathology. Concepts and techniques will be applied in VET 200 - Clinical Pathology 2 and VET 210 - Veterinary Technology Internship 1.

Prerequisites: VET 108 Small Animal Nursing and VET 206 Farm Animal Nursing.
