MGT 201 - Principles of Management

3 credits

This course brings together the cumulative learning in the Business Management A.S. degree program. The course addresses the scope and impact of management, ethical considerations, and the business environment. It also covers various aspects of business (including economics, accounting and marketing) and the functions of management (including planning, organizing, staffing, leadership, coordination, and controlling). The course also develops the student’s ability to think critically, conduct sound research, analyze a variety of data, apply management concepts to case studies, and publicly present a report.

Prerequisites: MGT 101 Business Organization and Management  with a grade of “C” or better.
