VET 211 - Veterinary Technology Advanced Clinical Experience

4 credits

Clinical experience supervised by a licensed veterinary technicians or veterinarian. A continuation of VET 210 - Veterinary Technology Clinical Experience  focusing on skill development and advancement; decision making and independent work.

Notes: All 160 hours must be completed at a Program-affiliated facility and no more than two (2) of these facilities can be used for this course completion.  Only 40 hours of the 160 can be completed at an affiliated place of employment. Transportation to site(s) is the student’s responsibility.

Students will come in direct contact with various animal species in controlled settings.  Exposure to zoonotic diseases and a risk of exposure to veterinary/animal-related hazards is possible.

Students required to attend an evening to present on clinical experiences.
