DANCE 111 - Yoga

3 Credits

Students learn the principles of yoga, including meditation, pranayama (breathing techniques), and asana(postures). The focus is on awareness of breath and the body as a means toward self-awareness, both on and off the mat. In calming tensions of the body and busyness of the mind, overall well well-being is enhanced. In doing so, students become more aware of how they experience life.
