CE-COMP 2276 - What the Heck is AI?

Lately it seems a week cannot go by without some major media outlet offering “special coverage” on artificial intelligence or A.I. But as the public’s awareness about AI’s current and future promises grows, why are so many already fearing and mistrusting AI? This very non-technical class will not focus on how AI works, but instead will explain what AI is and what AI will do. By the end of this course you will have sufficient knowledge to discuss AI with your grandchildren or to evaluate which roles you believe AI should play in your life and the lives of everyone else in society.
