Because of Wireless Telecommunication Technology we carry our cell phones and communicate while we walk down the street. We listen to baseball or football games occurring on the other side of the continent. A war occurring elsewhere on the planet is broadcast into our homes. A plumber is paged because a hot water heater has broken and the basement is being flooded. We open our car and garage doors by remote control.

The advent of wireless technology has had a profound impact on the way we live. It is an ever-changing technology utilized in industries including communications, health care, broadcasting and utilities. Practitioners need to stay abreast of the latest innovations. A certificate program will help professionals keep up to date and enable future technicians to prepare for entry-level positions.

The telecommunications certificate enables experienced professionals to stay abreast of the latest innovations in telecommunications. It also provides a path toward an entry-level position for those who have no prior college experience and who may wish to work while they pursue an Associate’s Degree. Upon successful completion of the certificate, graduates may apply these credits toward the college’s A.A.S. degree in Telecommunications or the A.A.S. in Electrical Technology.

Minimum Total Credits: 16
