This intensive, immersion course is one course of a three-course, multi-level program providing balanced instruction and active practice in all English language skills. All students take three courses: Intensive Grammar & Reading (two days/week); Intensive Speaking, Listening & Pronunciation (two days/week); Intensive Writing (one day/week). Extensive communicative language practice in an English-only environment maximizes learning. ESL students use a computer lab for additional practice. New students are placed by exam.

Spring Course Offerings
Intensive English Program, IN-PERSON at SUNY Westchester Valhalla: The Intensive English Program offers motivated learners rapid advancement from beginner to advanced levels, with courses in Grammar & Reading, Listening, Speaking & Pronunciation, and Writing, designed to prepare students for university study or enhance career opportunities. Registration is required in all 3 courses (G, L, and W). At SUNY Westchester Valhalla: ELI-ESL IEP-G, -L & -W, 65 M-F, Jan. 12–Apr. 22 (skip 1/19, 3/16-20, 4/3), 9:00 am-12:00 noon, placement test: Jan. 5, 9:00 am, $1085 (+ approximately $170 for textbook and $10.50 for 2 fees). |
