Other: Why Use / Learn Tableau?

Tableau is one of the fastest growing and evolving Business Intelligence (BI) and data visualization tools in the market today. Some of the key features driving its popularity and growth include the following:

  1. It’s a great first step to learning the basics of Data Science (see our other Data Science Programs)
  2. Intuitive and User friendly
  3. Easy to learn
  4. You can apply it to any business or sector
  5. Fast and easy to use
  6. It works well with MS Excel and many other data sources
  7. You don’t need to do any coding (or even know how to code)
  8. User community is huge which means lots of resources and support
  9. You can create and explain data reports understandable to everybody
  10. Easy installation and deployment
  11. These are great skills to have (and in-demand)

Tableau exploded into the market because of the big data problems organizations face daily. Excel is a great tool but has limitations when it comes to data. Tableau can connect to more than 40 different data sources. One of the many attributes of Tableau is its ability to create data visualizations and analytics quickly. It creates great visual dashboards of data enabling everyone to see and understand it and make actionable decisions for the business.
