Companies across the globe are having challenging times when trying to find open source talent with the IT skills necessary to grow and develop the business. The Red Hat System Administration program equips you with Linux® administration skills by focusing on foundational Linux concepts and core tasks. You will learn how to apply command-line concepts and enterprise-level tools, starting you on your journey toward becoming a full-time Linux system administrator.
The Red Hat System Administration program covers 3 modules to prepare you for the Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator Exam (RHCSA):
Getting Started with Linux Fundamentals
Introduces Linux concepts and fundamental skills to Linux users who do not manage or administer Linux systems.
Red Hat System Administration (RH124)
Equips you with Linux® administration “survival skills” by focusing on foundational Linux concepts and core tasks. You will learn how to apply command-line concepts and enterprise-level tools, starting you on your journey toward becoming a full-time Linux system administrator.
Red Hat System Administration II (RH134)
Serves as the second part of the RHCSA training track for IT professionals. This module goes deeper into core Linux system administration skills in storage configuration and management, installation, and deployment of Red Hat® Enterprise Linux®, management of security features such as SELinux, control of recurring system tasks, management of the boot process and troubleshooting, basic system tuning, and command-line automation and productivity.

Course Content
- Getting Started with Linux Fundamentals (RH104)
4 weeks – Meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm CE-COMP 2289 - Red Hat Linux System Administration I
10 weeks – Meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm CE-COMP 2231 - Red Hat Linux System Administration II (RH134)
10 weeks -Meets on Wednesdays from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm CE-COMP 2253 - 100 hours of tutorials and platform access to hands-on labs

Student access to content for Getting Started with Linux Fundamentals (RH104), Red Hat System Administrator I (RH124) and Red Hat System Administrator II (RH134) -
Red Hat Online Learning access for each student including access to textbooks and cloud-hosted hands-on labs for a year. Students also have access to Video Classroom where they can view lectures recorded by Red Hat Certified Instructors. -
An exam voucher for the Red Hat Certified Systems Administrator Exam (RHCSA) is included for each student as well as a free exam retake. After passing the exam, the student becomes a Red Hat Certified System Administrator. The Red Hat Linux System Administration program is designed to be completed as a whole, including the 3 program modules listed above. For course questions, please contact:
