Program Description
The Civil Technology A.A.S. program at SUNY Westchester Community College offers hands-on training for students aiming to enter fields like civil engineering, architecture, and construction. Upon successful completion of this program, a student will: - Demonstrate the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Demonstrate the ability to solve civil engineering related problems (estimating, structures, environmental).
- Demonstrate the ability to create engineering drawings both manually and using AutoCAD software.
- Demonstrate the understanding of the elements of civil engineering design and construction.
- Demonstrate the ability to use the internet as resource for information to help solving problems.
- Demonstrate the ability to function as a member of a civil technology team.
