Program Description
The Paramedic Certificate program at SUNY Westchester Community College offers a direct path to becoming a certified paramedic, preparing students to handle the highest level of pre-hospital emergency care. Through intensive coursework and hands-on clinical experiences, students gain the essential skills and knowledge to qualify for New York State Department of Health certification and the National Registry EMT-Paramedic (NREMT-P) credential. Accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs, this program is an ideal choice for those looking to enter a rewarding and impactful career in emergency medical services. Upon successful completion of this program, a student will: -
To prepare competent entry-level Paramedics in the cognitive learning domain. -
To prepare competent entry-level Paramedics in the psychomotor learning domain. -
