Program Description
The Networking A.A.S. program at SUNY Westchester Community College equips students with the hands-on skills needed to design, install, and secure networks across a range of environments. Through project-driven coursework, students learn to support voice, video, and data networks, mastering core networking technologies and security principles. Students gain experience in configuring and troubleshooting networks using advanced tools and industry-standard equipment, preparing for Cisco certifications, including CCNA, that boost employability. With these practical skills, graduates are ready for roles in network administration, security, and system analysis—high-demand fields across every industry sector. Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, a student will: - Demonstrate the ability to design and maintain secure, voice, video, and data networks.
- Demonstrate the ability to implement and configure networked devices.
- Demonstrate the skills necessary to administer and monitor networks.
- Exhibit mastery of problem-solving skills necessary for troubleshooting networks.
