Program Description
The Web Development Certificate program at SUNY Westchester Community College provides hands-on training for individuals eager to create interactive, dynamic websites. In this program, students gain practical skills in designing and developing web pages using the latest software, programming languages, and web development tools. Whether you’re looking to start a career in web development or expand your digital skillset, this certificate prepares you for roles such as web developer, site coordinator, or webmaster. Additionally, select courses within this program can be applied toward an A.A.S. degree in Computer Information Systems, enhancing your career flexibility and advancement potential. Upon successful completion of this program, a student will: - Demonstrate an understanding of the basic building blocks of Internet programming.
- Demonstrate an understanding of basic design principles for input and output on the Internet.
- Demonstrate the ability to analyze, coordinate, collect, normalize and implement a relational database for information management.
- Demonstrate the ability to manage a website.
