HSERV 263 - Social Work Practicum II

3 Credits

This 120-hour practicum accompanies HSERV 262 - Social Work Practice Foundations . Students are assigned to social service agencies as interns. Students are supervised by agency staff and will advance their knowledge of direct practice with individuals and families. The students develop skills in interviewing, engagement, effective communications, advocacy, and the social work change process in a culturally competent manner.

Notes: Students are assigned as interns in social service agencies under the supervision of professional human services workers.

Prerequisites: HSERV 261 - Social Work Practicum I
Corequisite: HSERV 262 - Social Work Practice Foundations
