Program Description
The Associate in Applied Science in Business Administration prepares students to enter or to advance careers in the workforce. The program’s concentration of business courses – Management, Information Technology, Accounting, Business Law, and Marketing – provides a strong background for employment and internships or career advancement.
Students who intend to earn a four-year degree are advised to consider matriculation in the Business Administration Associate in Science (A.S.) degree program which is designed as a Transfer Degree.
Program Learning Outcomes
- Students will develop an understanding of how business functions to enhance their employment opportunities and their success in the workforce.
- Students will develop an understanding of the management functions of Planning, Organizing, Staffing, Directing and Controlling.
- Students will develop an understanding of how businesses market goods and services as a basis for employment opportunities and success in the workforce.
- An understanding of the global marketplace will assist students who might be employed by a global firm.

Students are required to fulfill a certain number of credits within the specific categories shown below. Where specific courses are not listed within these categories, courses must be selected from the list of SUNY General Education Courses
