The National Institute for Metalworking Skills (NIMS) was formed in 1995 by the leading metalworking trade associations to develop and maintain a globally competitive American workforce. NIMS develops skills standards for the industry, certifies individual skills against the standards and accredits training programs that meet NIMS quality requirements. NIMS operates under rigorous and highly disciplined processes as the only developer of American National Standards for the nation’s metalworking industry accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). Introduction to Manufacturing Dates: September 2nd – November 11th, 2025 Times: Tuesdays | 6:00 - 8:15 pm – Remote with live instructor Times: Thursdays | 6:00 - 9:00 pm – Tech Building Machine Shop Times: Saturdays | 9:00 am - 1:00 pm – Tech Building Machine Shop (4 Saturdays) Location: Hybrid of Virtual / Remote and In-Person – Technology Building Room 31 Catalog #: CE-TECH 2030 Class #: 72217 Cost: $ 1,295 (+ textbook + one time registration fee) Introduction to Manual Machine Lathe and Turning Operations Fall 2025 | Winter 2026 Schedule Dates: November 13th – February 3rd, 2026 Times: Tuesdays | 6:00 - 8:15 pm – Remote with live instructor Times: Thursdays | 6:00 - 9:00 pm – Tech Building Machine Shop Times: Saturdays | 9:00 am - 1:00 pm – Tech Building Machine Shop (4 Saturdays) Location: Hybrid of Virtual / Remote and In-Person – Technology Building Room 31 Catalog #: CE-TECH 2044 Class #: 72218 Cost: $ 1,295 (+ textbook + one time registration fee)

Office hours for registration are Monday – Thursday: 8:30 am – 7:00 pm Friday: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm (after Memorial Day – 9:00 am to 12:00 pm noon) Saturday: 9:00 am to 3:30 pm (in summer – closed some Saturdays).
