MATH 181 - Calculus 1 4 credits
Subjects include: Concept of Limit; understanding and applying the definition of a derivative; analyzing curves of functions; related rates; optimization applications; Rolle’s Theorem; Mean Value Theorem; differentiation and integration of algebraic, trigonometric, logarithmic, exponential and other transcendental functions; antiderivatives of algebraic and trigonometric functions; Riemann Sums, the definite integral and the definition of area; Fundamental Theorems of Calculus and the area under a curve; integration using u-substitutions
