ANTHR 131 - Meet the Primates

3 credits

This course introduces students to the study of primates. Students will learn how primatologists test hypotheses about primate evolution. Topics will include primate anatomy, behavior, sociality, communication, cognition, and conservation. Emphasis is placed on how primatology adds to our understanding of our own species. This interdisciplinary field will appeal to students interested in psychology, animal behavior, veterinary medicine, zoology, ecology, and more.

Prerequisites: ENG 101 Ready: Successful completion of ENG 92  or ENG 101  or ESL 122  or Course Placement
