Program Description
The Associate in Applied Science (AAS) degree in Interactive Technologies (ITECH) is an innovative program that prepares students for emerging technology careers in Social Media Marketing, Web Design Development, User Experience and User Interface (UX/UI), Computer Animation (2D/3D), and other interactive digital media careers such as Game Design.
The ITECH interdisciplinary coursework offers students the opportunity to learn hands-on creative digital media skills essential to many professions including Business, STEM, Entertainment, and Public Service. Students may explore Digital Marketing, Web Design/Development (UX/UI), Computer Animation and Game Design, by selecting a variety of open electives. The curriculum prepares students for entry-level positions or for transfer to a four-year institution. The program is applicable for professionals who need to enhance their existing skills utilizing emerging technologies.
Program Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this program, a student will:
- Create self-directed, concept-driven interactive media solutions that meet business goals,
- Demonstrate teamwork, production, and management skills for emerging online solutions,
- Demonstrate the ability to apply digital design principles with an emphasis on interactive design,
- Demonstrate the ability to make informed decisions based on the analysis of design thinking and digital data,
- Demonstrate the ability to design, build, and manage interactive digital media.

- General Education - 21 credits
- Required Degree Courses - 39 credits
